Team Leader at Avarn Security

A security guard works in public places where many people are on the move. Therefore, it is important to handle many impressions and have high social competence. About the Position

  • As a team leader in the assignment, you will be responsible for the operational management of the assignment. As a team leader, you will help develop the assignment, follow up on the security guards' work, and ensure that it is carried out in accordance with what has been agreed between the City of Stockholm and the company. Your task is to lead and support the security guards in the operational management on site.
  • As a deputy team leader (deputy TL) for our mobile assignment in Stockholm City, you will work in a vehicle patrol together with a colleague in the daily operations. You will also be one of the management functions alongside your regular team leader. Your task is to create safety and security for all residents and businesses in the city together with other vehicle patrols in the assignment. You will also work as a team leader during the absence of the regular team leader and manage the daily operations while handling related administrative tasks such as reporting. You will hold briefings together with the operational coordinator and lead and distribute work throughout the day.

Working Hours

Team Leader and Deputy Team Leader: 12:30 PM - 12:30 AM (2-5 schedule)

Qualifications

To work as a security guard, you need to be security-conscious, service-oriented, empathetic, and have an inner sense of security and a natural drive to help. You should be able to combine good service with a pronounced security mindset and have good communication and collaboration skills. You should have good knowledge of the legal support that both guards and security guards rely on. Since both positions involve very good skills in writing texts and analyzing others' texts, we place great importance on this.

To be qualified for the position, you need to meet the basic requirements:

  • At least 20 years old according to §4 of the Security Guards Act (2014:401)
  • Valid security guard authorization
  • Good Swedish and English in both spoken and written form
  • Driver's license B
  • Previous experience in a leading position as a security guard

It is advantageous if you have extensive experience in the industry and hold a guard basic training. It is also beneficial if you have training in crisis support or similar.

In addition, you need to be unpunished*, drug-free, have an orderly economy, high school competence with passing grades in Swedish 1 and English 5, and good health and physical fitness to be employed at Avarn Security.

* All personnel at an authorized security company must be approved in terms of legal compliance, civic reliability, and suitability in other respects. For the approval authority's assessment of a person's legal compliance and civic reliability, information in the criminal record or suspicion register or processed by the Security Police under the law on the police's processing of personal data within the area of crime data law will be obtained.
